What’s on Netflix: Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Created by Joss Whedon, this cult classic centres around a teenage girl as she struggles with her duties as a Vampire Slayer. With memorable characters and a fine mix of horror and comedy, Buffy is a show to watch. A stellar cast that includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, David Boreanaz, Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Stewart Head.

What’s on Netflix: Forrest Grump

A hidden gem based on a novel by Winston Groom. Starring Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump is buried amongst the other shows in Netflix’s site; Forrest Gump tells the tragic story of a boy growing up and the troubles he faces. The warmhearted story won the 67th Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Actor in Leading Role and more.

The film inspired the shrimp restaurant ‘Bubba Gump’ all over the world, with more than forty restaurants in the U.S alone. Search Forrest Gump on Netflix and you won’t be disappointed.

What’s On Netflix: Lilo & Stitch

Remember this fluffy, blue alien?

Lilo & Stitch first hit cinemas back in 2002, making it over  decade old today, but it’s now available on Netflix for those Disney fans who want a nostalgia trip.

A heart wrenching story set in Hawaii about a troubled family who, unknowingly, adopts an alien genetic experiment. With themes such as love, friendship, death and abandonment, this Disney animated film truly brings out emotion.

Lilo & Stitch

Featuring songs by The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley including “Stuck on You”, “Devil in Disguise”, “Hound Dog” and lastly, “Suspicious Minds”.

If you haven’t seen Lilo & Stitch yet; I recommend it. You’ll fall in love with the characters, animation and story. Lilo & Stitch became a new Disney franchise spanning it’s own television series, Lilo & Stitch: The Series and three movie sequels; Stitch! The Movie, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch and Leroy & Stitch.

What’s On Netflix: The Rugrats

Anyone in the 90’s will remember this cartoon gem; The Rugrats.

First aired in August 1991 and, after nine seasons, the last episode aired June 2004. A total of 172 episodes on Tommy’s adventures with friends Chuckie, twins Phil and Lil, bratty Angelica and the calm Suzi.

With hilarious episodes such as Season 1’s “Stu-Maker’s Elves”, “Incident in Aisle Seven” and “The Mysterious Mr. Fiend”.

Sadly, only the third season of Rugrats is available on Netflix. We’ll have to patiently wait for the other eight seasons!
